President's Message - October 2023

Greetings KC ASHRAE Members,

I'm excited to see the Volleyball Tournament grow in popularity having 6 teams this year. It was a little chilly, but everything clearly had fun. We don't need to talk about my team's results. 

Join us at an upcoming event! I look forward to seeing many of you at one of our upcoming events, including our student chapter golf event in Topeka (Nov 2^nd) and our chapter meeting (Nov 6^th). Add these dates to your calendar, but we are only getting started! We are going to emphasize more and different events this year. The student chapter event is open to everyone and we hope to have members from our three university chapters (KU, KSU and UMKC). There are several more that are early in the planning stages but aren’t ready to be announced yet.  

We are looking for Committee Chairs! KC ASHRAE can be great for your career, whether you work for an engineering firm, contractor or sales rep. You will make great connections and friends. You can also learn valuable leadership lessons. Please connect with me, or any of our other committee members, if you are interested in learning about our open spots.

New Year – New Website!! We are making traction with our new method of sending out announcements. Please set up a new account, if you haven't done so on www.kcashrae.org. It will also be helpful to add [email protected] to your list of safe senders. This will ensure you receive updates on our events.
